Nonprofit minor hockey
North Okanagan Minor Hockey Association
NOMHA runs minor hockey for Armstrong, Enderby, Spallumcheen, and the area around them. Every season brings new families, new coaches, new schedules, and new sponsors, and the board changes too. The site had to be easy for a volunteer to keep current. We built it as the association’s title sponsor and look after it at no charge.
Built on
What was built
- WordPress site the association’s own volunteers update
- Registration section: programs, age divisions, fees, funding assistance, and new player info
- Schedule, tournament, and rink pages, with links to TeamSnap and Spordle
- Pages for referees, coaches, and team managers
- Board, meeting minutes, and policies and forms
- A sponsor wall where every logo links to the sponsor, tagged so they can see the visits we send
The outcome
More than 45,900 page views in its first 16 months, about 5,000 a month during the season. The public relations director posts the updates now.
