Portrait photographer
Amie Roussel Photography
Amie Roussel is a natural light portrait photographer in Vernon, best known for maternity and newborn sessions. She built her old site herself on Showit. It looked lovely and ranked for zero keywords, so the people searching for a Vernon photographer never found her.
“I had no idea my website could be such a useful tool before Acorn Websites redid my website.”
What was built
- Full rebuild from Showit to WordPress, so Amie can edit her own site
- A search-ready page for each of her 12 kinds of photography
- Twelve gallery pages, from newborns to weddings to dance
- Client galleries connected to Pic-Time, the gallery tool she already uses
- Packages, testimonials, and blog pages
- Search setup from the first day: titles, headings, image names, and alt text
The outcome
Amie went from ranking for nothing to the top three in Vernon photographer searches, and held there for 18 months.
